Welcome to Grindhouse's Sweaty Summer

It's going to be a sweaty summer at Grindhouse Press!

Full Brutal by Kristopher Triana was released on June 12. It's a darkly violent take on the teen social ladder. Think Mean Girls meets American Psycho. One of the best horror novels I've read in years.

My latest, Irrationalia, will be released on June 22. The less said about it the better. I'm celebrating its release by making ALL MY OTHER KINDLE TITLES 99 cents (starting June 21). I was able to move out of the sad suburbs, shake off much of the anxious weight that homeownership was causing me, and move into an apartment with my wonderful girlfriend in an area we find way less soul deadening. Many of you have been buying my books for a decade and we probably couldn't have done it so quickly without your support. So if there's anything of mine you've been waiting to pick up, now is the time. This probably won't happen again for a while. Or maybe it will. Who the fuck knows?

Following on the heels of Irrationalia is C.V. Hunt's latest, Cockblock (June 25), an incredibly brave and unflinching look at an alternate reality that seemed way more unbelievable only a couple short years ago. It's raw, honest, and imaginative. If you're already a fan, you still won't be prepared for this one.

Next comes Scummer by John Wayne Comunale (June 29), a Bukowski-esque journey into the dumpster located in the worst part of an already bad town. This is a book where you know the protagonist is going to make the worst decisions possible and find yourself encouraging him down that road of self-discovery. It makes saying, "Fuck it," look really fun ... or horrible and scary.

After reading those, you might be ready for something more glamorous. And what could be more glamorous than a book about the exotic world of porn? Never fear, Scott Cole's Triple Axe (July 2) will take you there. There's just one problem for porn star Jesse Jinx--a deranged serial killer is targeting adult entertainers and the authorities are refusing to help. This one is quick, fun, and highly entertaining.

Lastly, if you'd like a chance to meet us all in person, we'll all be at Scares That Care in Williamsburg, Virginia, August 3-5, along with a slew of other great horror writers. Grindhouse Press will have a table on the first floor, so make sure to stop by and say hi.
